Her first novel, Shine Shine Shine, was a New York Times Notable Book for 2012 and a Los Angeles Times Book Prize finalist. Her second novel, How To Tell Toledo from the Night Sky, is about a pair of astrophysicists destined (through their mothers' planning) to fall in love.

About Books in Bloom
Discover an opportunity to meet three exceptional authors and hear them speak about the creative writing process, their literary passions, inspirations and experiences as writers at the 5th Annual Books in Bloom on Saturday, May 21, 2016 at 2:00 pm at the Pines Lodge in Beaver Creek. The authors featured at this year’s Books in Bloom are Simon Van Booy, Lydia Netzer and Hampton Sides. After the conclusion of the author presentations, they each will be available for book signing and their books will be available for purchase at the event. Come mingle with the authors and fellow book lovers, enjoy lively discussions, and sample delicious appetizers provided by the Grouse Mountain Grill.
Can’t make it to Books in Bloom? Join us Friday, May 20 from 5:30 - 6:30 pm at the Avon Public Library for a casual “Meet & Greet” with the authors. This event is free and open to the public. Light refreshments and book signing available.
