Check-Out Colorado

Colorado Parks and Wildlife has teamed up with libraries across Colorado to offer patrons the ability to check-out a seven-day park pass.

The Check-Out Colorado State Parks Program is an initiative to encourage all Coloradans to explore and learn about Colorado through libraries. Patrons can reserve and check-out a seven-day park pass to gain entrance into all 42 state parks (Fishers Peak is Colorado's Newest State Park!) The park pass is accompanied by an adventure backpack filled with binoculars, park information, and educational activities.

A pass can be reserved with your library card by calling the Avon Public Library at 970-949-6797 and you can pick it up at any EVLD branch of your choice. Each branch also has a "lucky day" bag that can only be checked out if you see it on the shelf.

With this pass and backpack program you can literally ‘check-out Colorado State Parks’. Hike or bike the multi-use trails, find wildlife in their natural surroundings, visit a nature center or bring a picnic. Discover the beauty of our state! For more information or to reserve a park pass please contact the Avon Public Library at 970-949-6797.
