Early Literacy Summer Program

Birth to Five Years Old

Adult emperor penguin with baby reading bookDid you know that Eagle Valley Libraries have a fun summer learning program just for little ones?! We've created a simple activity sheet for caregivers and children from birth to five years old. These engaging activities that you, as caregivers, can do with your young child at home will help lay the foundation for success in school. It’s as simple as talking, singing, playing, writing and reading together

How It Works:

Stop by the library this summer to pick up an activity sheet or you can download here (en español aquí) to start logging your activities.

  • Complete 10 activities by Friday, September 2 to receive a free picture book or board book.
  • Complete entire sheet for a chance to enter a grand prize drawing at each branch!

Older siblings can participate in our Children's Summer Reading Program or Teen Summer Reading Program and you can participate in our Adult Summer Reading Program.
