To find one of the 3 Eagle Valley Library District Libraries go to "Hours & Locations" under Library Info on the toolbar above.

To get a library card, you will need to go to one of the District's 3 libraries in Avon, Eagle, or Gypsum, fill out a brief registration form, and present a photo ID and proof of your mailing address (i.e. piece of cancelled mail).

How do I find an item in the catalog?

A:
To find an item in the catalog, click on the "Catalog" button above. Choose a search strategy from the drop down list (keyword, author, title, or series title), click in the blank box next to it, and type in your search.

How do I access my library card record?

A:
To access your library card record, go to your account in the library's catalog (click on "My Account" above), type in your full name and library card number. From within your account you may add holds, renew items, add to your preferred searches, and review your reading history.

How do I reserve an item that is checked out or at another library?

A:
To reserve and item or place a hold go to the catalog (click on the "Catalog" button above), type in your search in the blank box, click on the button that says "Request" at the top of the page, and fill in the items requested on the form (your name, library card number, and choose a pickup location).

How do I renew items checked out on my card?
|

A:
To renew items click on "My Account" above and enter the information requested. Once in your record, click on "Items currently checked out". To renew all item, click on the "Renew All" button. If you only wish to renew certain items, click the box(es) preceding the item(s) in the list, and the click on "Renew Selected Items". If an item may not be renewed it will say "ON HOLD" in red next to the due date of the item.

How do I keep a history of the items I have read?

To keep a history of the items you have read, go into your account by clicking on "My Account" on the menu above. Enter the required information, and then click on , then click on "Start recording My Reading History". From that point on every item you check out will be recorded and you can view the information in your record.

To request an interlibrary loan, please follow these instructions:

2. CLICK ON RESEARCH TOOLS
3. CLICK ON DATABASE LINKS
4. SCROLL DOWN TO FIRSTSEARCH
5. SELECT “AT HOME LINK” OR “AT LIBRARY LINK”
6. INPUT YOUR LAST NAME AND CARD NUMBER
7. SELECT WORLDCAT DATABASE
8. MAKE SELECTION OF ITEM
9. CLICK ON ICON AT TOP OF PAGE
10. COMPLETE FORM AND SUBMIT
