Renewal Policies
Items may be renewed if the total fines on your card are less than $5.00, and the items are not on hold for another library patron.
To renew by phone, call the library and have your card number ready. You may not renew items after regular library hours.
To renew using the District’s website, go to www.evld.org, and click on my account. Enter your name and library card number. Click on currently checked out items and then click on renew all or renew selected.
Interlibrary Loans
Interlibrary loan is a service that permits you to borrow materials not owned by the Library District. You may request books, photocopies of magazine articles, items on microfilm, and a limited number of media items. Most items can be obtained within one to three weeks.
The Library District does not charge for this service, however, in the event that the lending library charges a fee, the cost will be passed on to you. If there is a fee, you will be contacted before the item is ordered.
All interlibrary loan materials must be returned to one of the library's circulation desks by the date due or a fine will be assessed. Interlibrary loan items cannot be renewed.
Call the library for more information, ask for an interlibrary loan request form at either the reference desk or circulation desk, or use the online form.
Holds
All circulating materials that are owned by the library, may be reserved by placing the items on hold. This is a free service. You may place holds at the reference desk, circulation desk, by phone, or on the library's website.
Library Elf - Keeping Tabs on Your Library Material
This free service sends you email and/or RSS alerts before items are due; on items that are overdue or are on hold; shows a consolidated list of items on your card and family members cards; and will send text message alerts to your cellphone for items on hold.
To sign up for this service, please visit the Library Elf website and signup using the Marmot Library Network as your library. Please follow the on screen instructions to initiate your account.
