The Literacy Project Board of Directors

The Literacy Project’s Board of Directors consists of ten members from various sectors of the community such as business, education, and government. 

Meetings are held monthly, on the second Tuesday of the month.

Responsibilities:

The Literacy Project Board is governed by an outstanding group of dedicated individuals that shape our educational programs’ vision and direction.

As a collective body, the board governs the organization, assures adherence to all laws, and is accountable to the public.  The board has the overall responsibility for the organization and is charged with supervision and oversight.

Annually approves the organization’s mission and reviewing the management’s performance in achieving it.

Reviews long-range plans annually, in conjunction with the budget recommendations.

Approves major policies.
