Begin Your Life’s Work @ Your Local Library

Makey MakeyThe Eagle Valley Library District offers a variety of opportunities for teens to read, learn and grow including a reading buddy mentor experience, drop-in service projects, teen nights and book clubs. Contact Nick in Gypsum, Dale in Eagle and Cathy in Avon to learn more.

Volunteer work for high school students can be a life-changing experience, one that allows teens to expand their horizons and foster meaningful relationships. Community service for teens is often a requirement for graduating high school and it's a great way for students to build their resumes and skill sets.  In the Spring 2016, EVLD launched a Library Page Program  and hired 2 high school students to shelve books at its 3 branches.
