Author of The Unquiet Dead, winner of the Barry Award, the Arthur Ellis Award and the Romantic Times Reviewers Choice Award for Best First Novel. Works in her critically acclaimed Esa Khattak/Rachel Getty mystery has been optioned for television by Lionsgate. Khan holds a Ph.D. in International Human Rights Law with a research specialization in military intervention and war crimes in the Balkans.
Author of the award-winning 16-book series featuring sheriff-turned-private investigator Cork O’Connor, as well as stand-alone novels The Devils’ Bed and Ordinary Grace. Krueger briefly attended Stanford University—before being kicked out for radical activities. His last eight novels were all New York Times bestsellers. Desolation Mountain, number seventeen in his Cork O’Connor series, will be released in August 2018.

She has a Ph.D. in Literature and Creative Writing and lives in Wilmington, Delaware with her husband, two children, and two Yorkies.

About Books in Bloom
Discover an opportunity to meet three exceptional authors and hear them speak about the creative writing process, their literary passions, inspirations and experiences as writers at the 7th Annual Books in Bloom on Saturday, May 5, 2018 at 2:00 pm at the Pines Lodge in Beaver Creek. The authors featured at this year’s Books in Bloom are Ausma Zehanat Khan, William Kent Krueger and Marisa de los Santos. After the conclusion of the author presentations, they each will be available for book signing and their books will be available for purchase at the event. Come mingle with the authors and fellow book lovers, enjoy lively discussions, and sample delicious appetizers provided by the Grouse Mountain Grill.
Can’t make it to Books in Bloom? Bring your brown bag lunch for a conversation with one of Minnesota's favorite novelists, William Kent Krueger at the Eagle Public Library on Friday, May 4 at 12:00 pm. This event is free and open to the public. Light refreshments and book signing available.
