STEM Ute Program

Join the Eagle County Historical Society and the Eagle Valley Library District for one and a half hours of hands-on history focusing on the Utes, Eagle County’s first residents. Created by educator-historians at History Colorado, this program utilizes STEM skills (science, technology, engineering, and math) to teach 3rd-5th graders about the Utes. Kids will learn to construct teepees, evaluate the effectiveness of "basket" water holders, identify plants, create beading patterns, construct a moccasin, and calculate horseback travel times!
