Olive, Again posted by Robyn

Olive, Again is the sequel to Olive Kitteridge that surprised author Elizabeth Strout, whose title character wouldn't leave her alone.  The new novel picks up where the first book left off.  The reader is reintroduced to Jack Kennison, who becomes the widow’s second husband.  Much like Olive Kitteridge, this book is comprised of related stories featuring different community members in Crosby, Maine.  Olive is still trying to improve the relationship with her podiatrist son Christopher, his wife, and stepchildren.  She is an old woman set in her ways, so selling her house and moving in with Jack presents its challenges.  Readers who enjoyed Olive Kitteridge will definitely want to pick up Olive Again.  Both stories are available in audio, and Olive Kitteridge was adapted into an Emmy-winning series starring Frances McDormand in the title role.  This is available at the library in DVD.
