  • Academic Search Premier is an academic collection by Ebsco of full text, peer-reviewed journals. Over 4,500 journals are available in full text, more than 3,700 of which are peer-reviewed. PDF back files dating to 1975 or earlier are provided for more than 100 journals. Find full text coverage of a broad array of subject areas, including biology, chemistry, engineering, physics, psychology, and religion & theology.

  • This Gale database contains nearly 600,000+ biographies covering more than 525,000 individuals, 170+ award-winning Gale reference titles and 50,000 new or updated bios are added annually in addition to daily updates to account for awards and events.

  • This Gale database provides resources for searching for jobs and internships, writing resumes and cover letters, and preparing for interview. It also provides resources to help identify career interests, browse career paths and search for schools and programs.

  • Freegal Music is a free and legal downloadable and streaming music service. Freegal Music offers a variety of music, for recordings available from Sony Music Entertainment labels, including Arista, Columbia, RCA as well as many other labels. You can download and listen from a computer or portable devices or just stream!  All you need is your library card! View our tutorial!

  • Warrior Global Road Warrior is a geography database from World Trade Press designed for business people, travelers and students. It contains detailed world country information including 1575 maps and over 6500 photos.

  • History Reference Center is a comprehensive full text history reference database designed for secondary schools, public libraries, junior/community colleges and undergraduate research. The database features full text for more than 1,990 reference books, encyclopedias and non-fiction books from leading history publishers.

  • LearningExpress Library provides a completely interactive online learning platform of practice tests and tutorial course series designed to help patrons, students, and adult learners succeed on the academic or licensing tests they must pass.   • Literature Resource Center This literature database offers critical, biographical and contextual content. Full-text articles from scholarly journals and literary magazines are combined with critical essays, work and topic overviews, full-text works, biographies, and more to provide a wealth of information on authors, their works, and literary movements. Researchers at all levels will find information they need.

  • LitFinder is international in scope, covers all time periods, and contains a wealth of primary literature content, including more than 126,500 full-text poems, 850,000 poem citations and excerpts, 5,000 full-text short stories, 2,800 full-text essays, 1,800 full-text speeches, and 1,000 full-text plays. LitFinder also includes biographies, work summaries, photographs, and a glossary. A subject navigator provides over 10,000 subject headings, and basic and advanced search modes allow users to search by keyword, author, subject, work title, work date, nationality, gender, timeline, and more.

  • Lynda.com is an online learning site that hosts a constantly growing library of over 3,000 courses that include over 130,000 videos. Courses cover a variety of topics (including business, design, web development and multimedia skills) and software (Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite and open source applications). These courses also feature searchable transcripts that make it easy to find quick answers to questions. Normally, using Lynda.com requires a paid subscription, but as an EVLD library cardholder you can access Lynda.com content from any computer with an Internet connection.  When you first access the database you will need to use your library card number and create a profile and a password.  From then on you can access the database through our website using your library card number and the Lynda.com password you created. View our tutorial!

Each lesson combines real-life situations and audio from native speakers with an easy-to-follow interface and simple, clear instructions. Mango Languages offers 70 foreign language courses and 12 ESL courses, such as Spanish, Japanese, French, German, Italian, Greek, Russian, Mandarin Chinese and ESL for Polish speakers, ESL for Spanish speakers and ESL for Brazilian Portuguese speakers. View our tutorial!

  • Opposing Viewpoints Resource Center draws on the acclaimed social issues series published by Greenhaven Press, as well as core reference content from other Gale and Macmillan Reference USA sources to provide a complete one-stop source for information on social issues. Access viewpoint articles, topic overviews, statistics, primary documents, links to websites, and full-text magazine and newspaper articles.

  • A collection of ebooks that may be downloaded and and read on an ebook device, and eaudiobooks that can be downloaded and listened to on an MP3, iPod, phone, tablet or computer. The collection is updated monthly and is free to Eagle Valley Library District cardholders. View our tutorial!

  • Part of Thomson Gale's growing science product line, Science in Context is an in-depth, curriculum-oriented science database that provides a one-stop resource for all science-related research needs. This 24/7 resource reflects curriculum trends and focuses on key concepts taught in school classrooms such as earth science, science history, life science, physical science, science and technology, space and much more.

  • Student Resources In Context is geared to high school (and early college) students and offers cross-curricular content aligned to national, state, and Common Core State Standards, and presents that material in the way most useful for students. This database provides support and sources for papers, projects, and presentations.

  • Teen Health & Wellness is specifically designed for teenagers on issues relating to health, fitness, alcohol, drugs, mental health, family life and more. It also provides young adults with authoritative content that is reviewed by experts in the areas of medicine, mental health, nutrition, guidance, and counseling.

  • World Book Web is a suite of online research tools covering the needs of students from grade school to grad school, providing encyclopedia articles, primary source collections, educator tools, student activities, pictures, audio, and video, complemented by current periodicals and related Web sites. The available websites include World Book Advanced (High School & College), World Book Online Info Finder (Middle School), World Book Online for Kids (Elementary School), and Gran Enciclopedia Hispánica (a Spanish Language Encyclopedia).
