Limitations and alternatives

Despite our best efforts to ensure accessibility of EVLD.org, there may be some limitations. Below is a description of known limitations, and potential solutions. Please contact us if you observe an issue not listed below.

Known limitations for EVLD.org:

  1. Low Color Contrast: Some logos and areas of the website may not have as high color contrast between the background color and text color because Items were created previously or are from external sources. We are working with external vendors and creating new images that support high color contrast. Please use the contact information in the Formal Complaints section of this statement to let us know if you encounter and issue.
  2. Keyboard accessibility: Some areas of this website and external sources lack keyboard accessibility because integration with common screen readers may encounter lack of keyboard accessibility. We are working with external vendors to identify whether they are accessible and when they will be. Please use the contact information in the Formal Complaints section of this statement to let us know if you encounter and issue.
  3. Inaccessible documents: Some documents on this website may not have proper tagging or alternative text because documents were created as scanned images and lack the ability to be tagged or have alternative text. We have identified all documents that are scanned images and have either removed that document or have replaced it with a document that is tagged or has proper alternative text. Please use the contact information in the Formal Complaints section of this statement to let us know if you encounter and issue.
  4. Heading hierarchy: Some pages on this website may lack heading elements because improper nesting of heading has been used. Identifying which pages have inappropriate heading elements and fixing the nesting of those elements. Please use the contact information in the Formal Complaints section of this statement to let us know if you encounter and issue.
  5. Missing Video Captions: Although this website has a limited use of videos, some may be missing video captions because videos created previously may be missing video captions. We are working to incorporate video captions in videos that are created and phase out videos that did not.
